I’ll make the economy work for everyday Americans. The pledge from presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton at the first major rally of her campaign.

She is the clear front-runner to win the Democratic nomination for next year’s election.

“Prosperity can’t just be for CEOs and hedge fund managers. Democracy can’t be just for billionaires and corporations,” Clinton told supporters.

“You brought our country back. Now it’s time, your time, to secure the gains and move ahead. And you know what, America can’t succeed unless you succeed.”

Meanwhile, the Republican nominating battle is off to a crowded start, with 10 confirmed candidates.

More are expected, including former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who is set to throw his hat into the ring on Monday.
