Newly crowned champions Juventus produced a superb display to down rivals Lazio 2-1 in the final of the Coppa Italia in Rome on Wednesday.

Stefano Pioli’s men got off to a strong start and opened the scoring in the 4th minute with a powerful header from former Dinamo Bucharest left back Stefan Radu.

The home supporters’ joy was short lived as Italian international Giorgio Chiellini beat Lazio goalkeeper Marco Storari from close range to draw the sides level seven minutes later.

With neither side able to find a winner in regulation time, the game went into extra time with Alessandro Matri eventually sealing the win after 97 minutes, handing Juventus an impressive domestic double.
