Ivory Coast edged out Ghana 9-8 on penalties to clinch the Africa Cup of Nations in Bata on Sunday.

With neither team able to break the deadlock, the showpiece match went to penalties with goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saving Razak Braimah’s effort before stepping up to score the winning spot-kick.

This result sees Hervé Renard become the first coach to win the Africa Cup of Nations with two different countries, having led Zambia to glory in 2012.
