These are the impressive entries already in for the Sony World Photography Awards 2015.
The competition closes on January 5 next year, but organisers have published a selection of photos already submitted.
Winning and shortlisted photographers will have their work exhibited at Somerset House, London, from April 24 – May 10, 2015.

Competition winners will be announced on the eve of the exhibition.
The awards will see professional and amateur photographers compete across 25 categories for cash prizes and the latest digital imaging equipment.
