Manny Pacquiao retained his WBO welterweight title with a one-sided points win over Chris Algieri in Macau on Sunday.
The 35-year-old scored six knockdowns and dominated every round to secure a unanimous decision win in front of a packed Cotai Arena.
The first knockdown, in the second round, was a combination of a Pacquiao punch and Algieri slipping on the canvas but in the sixth round the American tumbled head over heels and went down again in the same round from a right hook.
Three more knockdowns followed as Pacquiao, boxing’s only eight-division titleholder, continued to assert his domination over Algieri, en route to his 57th win.
