The cast for Star Wars VII, to be directed by JJ Abrams, has been announced and fans of the force will breath a sigh of relief to hear original cast members Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher will be back to battle the dark side.

Along with Luke, Han and Leia, favourites Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Meyhew (Chewbacca) and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) will be along to complete the original line up.

The new additions include Andy Sirkis, famous for his role as Gollum in ‘Lord of the Rings’, Max von Sydow of ‘The Exorcist’ and Oscar Issac from ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ to name but a few.

Disney has suggested the film will focus on the lives of the children of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo and Princess Leia and will be set 30 years after ‘The Return of the Jedi’.

Shooting is set to begin at Pinewood Studios in England next month.
