Ultra HD televisions and wearable fitness technology are expected to be the big standout gadgets at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The tech heads heaven is seen among industry experts as one giant preview to what we will be buying in the year ahead, and with more than 3,200 exhibitors due to take part at this year’s CES, there is plenty to play with.

“It’s both exciting and pretty terrifying because we’re gonna see so many cool new things, but at the same time, the show floor is absolutely massive, there’s a lot of ground to cover and a lot of things to see. And in order to get a real clear idea of the trends that are emerging, you have to have your skates on, you have to get around a lot of show floor,” said Will Findlater, Editor in Chief of “Stuff:”

Car makers are increasingly present in Las Vegas this year. Experts are predicting a host of innovations which will take technology from people’s pockets and onto their dashboards.

As ever gaming gadgets are in abundance. However another major trend expected to dominate this year’s show and offer a glimpse to the future is the increase in connected technology, both at home but also when out and about, particularly the service between retailers and shoppers.
