French porn video producer Marc Dorcel gave some French football fans an extra reason to celebrate the national team’s qualification for the 2014 World Cup on Tuesday night: he promised before the return leg of the crucial play-off against Ukraine that if Les Bleus were to qualify, his entire Video-On-Demand catalogue would be accessible “for free all night, to celebrate!”

He claimed on Twitter it was not a marketing ploy, but rather a spontaneous reaction to cheer the national team.
As it happened, in a stunning reversal of fortunes, les Bleus won their ticket to Brazil after a 3-0 victory (3-2 on aggregate) against a disappointed, and disappointing Ukrainian team.
While the match had a happy ending for the French there were more ecstatic climaxes to follow, so much so that Dorcel’s site’s servers crashed after a mere 45 seconds due to the volume of traffic.

The porn producer claimed that several hours after the final whistle, the website was still receiving more than 100 times more traffic than usual.
To make good on his promise, Dorcel quickly set up an ad hoc email address where fans could write to get a code to get access to a free video. The inbox was quickly flooded by tens of thousands of e-mails from horny fans who had until noon on Wednesday to get their code.
