Hundreds of people dressed as the folkloric character Krampus, who punishes children that have misbehaved, have held a run through the Christmas market in Munich.
The event on Sunday resembled something like a mix between a German Shrove Tuesday and Halloween - the march of the Krampuses.
The woolly creatures with the scary masks come out on December 6 to make sure the town's children are being good. And they have sticks and bells to help them make an impression. The masks weigh up to 10 kilos.
