Devotees across India began celebrating the 11-day Ganesh festival on Monday to mark the birth of the popular Hindu god.

Devotees across India began celebrating the 11-day Ganesh festival on Monday to mark the birth of the popular Hindu god.

During the annual festival, Hindu families worship Ganesh, the god of knowledge, wisdom and good fortune.
