Karabakh is moving from reconstruction towards a new phase of economic development, with new industrial and logistics zones attracting investment.
Karabakh is undergoing a major reconstruction effort, with the focus now extending beyond rebuilding homes to creating new economic opportunities. New economic zones near Agdam and Jabrayil are being developed around manufacturing, industry and logistics, supported by tax incentives to attract businesses and investment.
Special Representative of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district says the aim is to create a region built for long-term development, while Chief architect of Shusha City Reserve involved in rebuilding Shusha describes the challenge of starting “almost from zero”. From green energy and digital planning to drone surveys and advanced mapping, the region is being rebuilt with an eye on the future.
