LISBON (Reuters) - Portugal's monthly unemployment rate fell to 6.7 percent in June from a revised reading of 7 percent the previous month, which was the lowest since 2002, data from the National Statistics Institute showed on Monday.
A year ago, the jobless rate stood at 9.1 percent.
The youth unemployment rate of those aged 15 to 24 fell to an estimated 19.6 percent in June from 20.5 percent in May and 23.8 a year earlier.
The total number of unemployed fell to 347,100 people in June from 362,800 in May, while the total workforce rose increased slightly to 5.17 million from 5.16 million.
