Two explosions in Mogadishu

At least thirteen people have been injured in a suicide car bomb attack on the presidential palace in Somalia's capital Mogadishu.

A second explosion occured opposite a nearby police building.

Mogadishu has suffered lawlesssness and instability as Islamist group al Shabaab fights to topple the western-backed government.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
