Anti-G7 protesters rallied in the Italian city of Bologna on Sunday (June 11) during a meeting of Group of Seven ministers.

They are angry because police prevented them from reaching the so-called red zone in the centre of the city where the summit is being held.
G7 environment ministers and officials have been discussing issues ranging from climate change to sustainable development and litter at sea.
The minister from Italy, which holds the G7 presidency, says they are making progress.
“We have already achieved a result: we are talking, we are providing solutions and we are spotting common goals. No doubt the positions will remain the same, but I’m sure we have made a consistent step forward,” said Gian Luca Galletti, Italian Environment Minister.
Italy said a US official left the meeting early. Scott Pruitt heads the Environmental Protection Agency for Donald Trump who recently announced the US is withdrawing from the Paris climate deal.
