Brazil’s biggest city has held what is believed to be the biggest Gay Pride Parade in the world.
Sao Paulo was filled with people taking part in the city’s nineteenth pride parade which called for an end to violence and lobbied for equal rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual community.
“It is incredible, this is an amazing day, this is a time when everybody can show everybody respect that they deserve. This is about human rights, and I’m so happy to be here,” said parade participant Corina Sanders.
On social media there was plenty of support for the parade.
