A giant chocolate egg is drawing attention at Cadbury World in Birmingham ahead of Easter. The Mega Mini Egg weighs 55kg and stands around 70cm tall.
Chocolatiers spent two days shaping and finishing it, adding the familiar speckled shell by hand. The one-off creation is now on display for visitors at the chocolate attraction.
The launch comes as chocolate prices rise sharply. Analysts say costs have climbed by about two thirds in recent years, driven mainly by higher cocoa prices linked to climate pressures in West Africa.
At Cadbury World, the focus remains on the experience. Once Easter ends, the egg will be melted down and reused, avoiding waste.
