A new mural by street artist Laika has appeared near the Vatican, drawing attention for its satirical take on world leaders expected to attend the upcoming funeral of Pope Francis.

The piece, painted in the early hours of Thursday, portrays Pope Francis in heaven, gazing at a guest list for his funeral and asking: “But who invited them?

The list includes names such as US President Donald Trump and Argentine President Javier Milei, leaders known for their tense relations with the late pontiff.

Also mentioned are European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Italian Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi.
