The demonstration in the Ukrainian capital comes with the vast majority of countries represented at a major peace summit in Switzerland, backing a call for a full exchange of captured soldiers.

At a regular rally held in Kyiv by relatives of captured soldiers in Russia's invasion, participants said Sunday they hoped the recently concluded peace summit in Switzerland would further galvanize international support for Ukraine and boost efforts to bring prisoners home.

Already, a vast majority of countries represented at the two-day summit in the secluded Swiss resort above Lake Lucerne backed a call for the full exchange of captured soldiers and the return of deported Ukrainian children.
