One man is arrested after a shooting in a market in Panama that caused a stampede but resulted in no deaths or injuries according to police.

A shooting took place in a market in Panama where hundreds of football fans were watching the country take on Mexico in the Gold Cup Final.

The shooting in the seafood market in the capital started during the second half of the match and caused a stampede of people trying to avoid the bullets according to a journalist with Agence France-Presse. 

There were no reported injuries and at least one man was arrested. Police refused to give any more details to reporters.
