Supporters of former US President Donald Trump gathered outside Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida on Thursday night, waving pro-Trump flags and singing patriotic songs.
Earlier on Thursday, Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, prosecutors and defence lawyers said, making him the first former US president to face criminal charges and jolting his current campaign to retake the White House next year.
