A park in Taiwan’s east coast city of Hsinchu played host to an International Kite Festival on Saturday with the sky above dotted with kites in the shape of various creatures and characters.
Locals descended on the park to watch participants attempt to keep their kites in the air.
Many of the kite flyers had travelled from far-flung parts of the world including Germany, Australia, the United States, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia to join local Taiwanese kite enthusiasts.
