The city of Newry, Maine, has held the latest edition of the North American Wife Carrying Championship. Forty-four couples competed in the competition which was in its 17th edition this year. The winner, a local couple, won 11 cases of beer, 665 US dollars and will participate in the world championship in Finland next year.
