Veyrat claims the downgrade came after a Michelin inspector mistakenly thought he used English Cheddar in a cheese souffle, instead of using local cheese varieties.
Taking to Euronews, Michelin refuted Veyrat's accusations, saying that "in no way" did any inspector mention a "cheddar emulsion" as a reason to remove the star.
