Indonesia is limping towards recovery after a major earthquake and tsunami hit the island of Sulawesi, but progress is slow. The official death toll has just risen to one thousand two hundred and thirty four and there are reports of looting and growing chaos in major cities.
Over 800 people are dead and many injured after another Indonesian earthquake. Mass graves have been dug in the worst-hit city of Palu, where the town was also struck by a tsunami. Rescue efforts are still underway and authorities have called for more heavy machinery and volunteers.
