Mount Etna is Europe's tallest and most active volcano.

Italy’s Mount Etna erupted with a spectacular display of lava and ash earlier this week. The volcano is situated on the island of Sicily and the eruption caused Italy’s Civil Protection agency to raise the alert level in the area from green to yellow. Lava flowed down the sides of Mount Etna which is around 3,300 metres high.
