From a drone carrying traffic lights to a remotely operated robot, exhibitors at Milipol Qatar demonstrate equipment designed for emergency response, surveillance and work in dangerous places.

Milipol Qatar brought together around 280 companies from 33 countries in Doha, showcasing technology for security and emergency response. Exhibitors demonstrated how drones, robots and AI systems could support work ranging from traffic management to search and rescue.

Among the exhibits were a drone carrying traffic lights, a van fitted out as a mobile command centre and a remotely operated robot. Companies also explained how aerial photographs could help locate missing people and how boats could carry out missions without anyone on board.

Alongside the demonstrations, exhibitors discussed the role of human operators and the checks needed when using AI. Across the different applications, a common aim was to gather information and carry out tasks in places that could be dangerous for people.
