The career of Georges Remi, known as Hergé, is honoured with a retrospective at the Grand Palais in Paris, the Belgian cartoonist is best known for The Adventures of Tintin.

‘At Home in Holland’ the Mauritshuis Gallery The Hague.
‘At home in Holland’ is a show featuring 22 rare masterpieces belonging to the British royal family.

Works by Johannes Vermeer and Jan Steen are included in the exposition.

An extraordinary collection of modern art is on show in Basel, the pictures belonged to Ernst Beyeler, the founder of Art Basel who died in 2010.
The venue designed by Renzo Piano adds to the interest.
