British Petrolium’s Caspian Region Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli reflects on more than 30 years in Azerbaijan, highlighting milestones and ongoing projetcs.

British Petrolium (BP) marks over 30 years in Azerbaijan by looking ahead to a future aligned with the nation’s decarbonisation ambitions.

BP’s Caspian Region Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli highlighted the company’s pivotal role in landmark projects such as ACG, Shah Deniz and the Southern Gas Corridor, while stressing renewed focus on renewables.

The company is investing in solar projects such as Shafag in Jabrayil, part of efforts to cut emissions and create new jobs.
