Uzbekistan is rapidly scaling up its pharmaceutical sector with the launch of Tashkent Pharma Park — a €1.2 billion project uniting research, logistics, manufacturing and training.

Uzbekistan is investing €1.2 billion into Tashkent Pharma Park, a massive new complex designed to boost pharmaceutical production, R&D and exports. The 1.9 million square metre site will include a biotech centre, technical university and manufacturing facilities — all within a free economic zone offering tax incentives.

The country aims to produce €440 million worth of pharmaceutical products annually by 2025, with more than half earmarked for export. Domestic firms like Dentafill Plyus are already targeting new markets, while foreign partnerships are being encouraged. Officials say WTO-aligned standards and a focus on clinical trials are key to enabling exports to Europe and beyond.
