US President Donald Trump hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping for a state dinner at the White House on Thursday.

Trump and Xi arrived at the East Room, where both leaders delivered remarks and proposed toasts during the formal dinner.
The two presidents also shook hands and spoke through interpreters, while First Lady Melania Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were among those attending.
The dinner capped a day of pomp and ceremony during Xi’s US state visit.
