The Second World Conference of Classics in Athens has concluded with the adoption of a joint declaration, establishing a structured framework to apply Greco-Roman and Chinese philosophical traditions to contemporary geopolitical and technological crises.

The two-day summit in Athens assembled more than 200 scholars from 20 nations to address modern challenges.

A central outcome was the adoption of the initiative titled "Illuminating Humanity's Future with Classical Wisdom," which advocates for human-centred parameters in technological development and ethical international relations.

Discussing global rivalries, Researcher He Fangying cited the Peloponnesian War as an historical precedent for the structural decline caused by ideological confrontation.

Jointly organised by Chinese and Greek state ministries alongside the Academy of Athens, the conference also established a Global Visiting Scholar Program to institutionalise long-term cross-cultural research into sustainable state governance.
