US President Donald Trump issued what he called his 'last warning' to Hamas on Sunday, to accept a new US-brokered ceasefire proposal that he says Israel has already agreed to.

In a social media post, Trump wrote, "Everyone wants the Hostages HOME. Everyone wants this War to end!," adding, "This is my last warning. There will not be another one."

The proposal was reportedly sent to Hamas on Sunday by US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff.

It allegedly promises that the US will advocate for an end to Israel's military operation, in exchange for the immediate release of all hostages.

In turn, Israel would set free up to 3,000 Palestinian prisoners.

There are currently 48 hostages remaining in Gaza, but only around 20 of them are believed to be still alive.

This is not the first time Trump has issued such an ultimatum, having made a similar 'last warning' back in March.

The message now puts intense public pressure on Hamas to respond to a deal, that Washington says could finally end the long-running conflict.
