Despite being in an arid region, Qatar has become a success story in climate resilience and sustainability. Qatar Foundation’s initiatives like Green Island and The Giving Garden are ways to fight climate change through educating the youth and nurturing the next generation of climate activists.

Laila Humairah visits Qatar Foundation’s Green Island, an educational facility with a community recycling hub, and meets leading climate change researchers from Hamad bin Khalifa University. Johanna Hoes met with volunteers at the Education City micro-farm and helped harvest crops from The Giving Garden to share within the community.
