Video. Brazilian nuns go viral after beatbox TV performance

Updated:

Two Brazilian nuns have become an online sensation after performing a spontaneous beatbox and dance routine on a Catholic television programme.

Sisters Marizele Cassiano and Marisa de Paula, members of the Copiosa Redenção congregation, were discussing vocational retreats on the show Família de Amor, broadcast on the Pai Eterno channel, when they unexpectedly began beatboxing and dancing.

Presenter Deacon Giovani Bastos joined in, following Sister Marisa’s dance moves.

Sister Marizele described the moment as spontaneous, saying that music helps them connect with young people struggling with drug addiction.

The video has since been viewed millions of times globally, increasing Sister Marizele’s social media following to over 100,000.
