Kyiv residents react to US President Donald Trump's call to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, without guaranteeing Ukraine's involvement in the talks.

People in Kiyv have reacted with a mixture of anger and disappointment to US President Donald Trump reaching out to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding potential peace negotiations, without committing to Ukraine's involvement in the talks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, meanwhile, said he will not accept any negotiations over Ukraine that do not include his country. European governments also demanded a seat at the table.
