Video. Thousands flee southern Lebanon due to intense bombardment

Updated:

Heavy Israeli bombardment on Monday forced thousands to flee southern Lebanon, with families seeking refuge in Beirut and nearby mountains.

About 100,000 people had already fled since October due to escalating clashes between Hezbollah-Israel clashes amid the Gaza conflict.

In Sidon, 14 schools sheltered 3,000 displaced, with many still awaiting help. Lebanese officials reported 558 deaths and over 1,800 injuries since Monday.
