Three people killed in a shooting in Paris

Three people have been killed and four injured in a shooting in Paris.

A 69-year-old suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. Authorities have opened an investigation for murder, voluntary manslaughter and aggravated violence.

The events occurred shortly before noon in the Xth district of the French capital.

The motives for the shooting are unknown.
