American rapper Lil Baby has been released from custody in France after being detained for allegedly transporting drugs.
The 26-year-old musician was however fined for having 32 grams of cannabis in his car, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
After his release, the rapper posted "I'm good" on Instagram and said that he was heading back to the United States.
NBA star James Harden also was stopped and searched by the authorities but was not detained.
Images shared on social networks showed the Brooklyn Nets basketball star briefly frisked in the incident on one of the French capital’s most elite avenues.
Paris police said they had stopped the men and Lil Baby's bodyguard due to a strong smell of cannabis from their vehicle. The unnamed bodyguard was also arrested, fined, and released on Friday.
Supporters and followers of the high-profile celebrities had raised concerns online about racial profiling, but Paris police denied the allegations on Twitter.
Harden and Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, have been in the French capital to attend fashion week, according to local media.
