Tech giant Huawei threatened to pull out of Western countries in response to criticism and restrictions placed on the business.

Chairman of the Chinese tech giant announced Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the company was prepared to move to countries that would be more willing to collaborate.

Huawei is a global industry leader in telecoms infrastructure and smartphone manufacturing. Several countries have kept the company out of contracts to build 5G networks due to concern that Huawei has been using their products to spy on the West.

Several Western countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany have raised concern about the company's association with the Chinese government. The US is seeking extradition of a Huawei executive and has prohibited the company from making bids on government contracts.
