Jean Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk published a letter to the British government to provide reassurances over the backstop as MPs prepare to vote on Theresa May's deal on Tuesday.
The letter comes as over 100 MEPs wrote to the British people urging them to take a u-turn on Brexit and revert course.
