Conservative MPs will be wary of rebelling, says former minister.

The UK’s former Minister for Europe, Denis MacShane, believes Theresa May could yet “bounce back” from her House of Commons triple defeat.

MacShane, who was a minister in Tony Blair's Labour government, told Good Morning Europe that in his experience, MPs think twice before revolting against their leader.

“I’ve been involved in government defeats in my 20 years in Parliament and often they bounce back quite quickly," he said. "At the end of the day, every Conservative MP this morning has to decide, ‘Do we want to plunge my party into permanent crisis, get rid of a Prime Minister in the next couple of days?’ I’m not sure.”

“We’re back to where we were this autumn. There isn’t a majority for almost anything,” he added.
