Putin fired multiple shots from the SVCh-308 rifle at targets 600 metres away.
Russian President Vladimir Putin showed off his sniper skills on Wednesday, testing a new rifle produced by Kalashnikov during a visit to the company’s shooting range outside Moscow.
A video, first aired by Russian TV, showed Putin taking several shots with the SVCh-308, a new semi-automatic rifle, which was first unveiled at a military forum last year.
The Russian president hit three of the five targets he was aiming at some 600 metres away, according to local media reports.
During his visit, Putin also looked at other Kalashnikov products, including armoured and electric vehicles, snowmobiles and drones.
