Cardinals accused of cover up
The Netherlands is the latest country to be hit by a child abuse scandal involving the Catholic church, with more than half the church’s senior clerics being accused of covering up sexual assaults on children.
More than half of the Netherlands’ senior clerics were involved in covering up sexual assault of children between 1945 and 2010, the daily NRC reported.
Euronews's Claudio Lavanga told Good Morning Europe of the damage being done to Pope Francis and the Catholic Church.
