Duke and Duchess of Sussex take on royal duties

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have attended a Buckingham Palace garden party for their first royal engagement as a married couple.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – have made their first public appearance since their royal wedding.

It was at a Buckingham Palace garden party to honour Prince Charles' charity and military work. Harry's father celebrates his 70th birthday this year.

Meghan looked to be at ease as she mingled with the guests.

The couple are expected to go on honeymoon later, though no details of when or where have been announced.
