Last known surviving presumed member of Islamist gang that killed 130 people in Paris in 2015 found guilty in Belgium of attempted murder while resisting arrest in 2016
The Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam has been sentenced to 20-years after being found guilty of attempted terrorist murder during a 2016 shootout in Belgium.
ADVERTISEMENTAbdeslam, the prime survivng suspect of the 2015 Paris attacks, was arrested after a gunfight in which several Belgian police officers were injured.
He is currently in jail in France for his alleged role in the Paris attacks, for which he is awaiting trial.
