Environmentally-friendly electricity generation has taken on a whole new look in Japan

Take a look at some solar panels -  as you have probably never seen them before!

More than 50,000 of them are on the reservoir of a dam near Tokyo, generating electricity at a newly operational solar power plant, one of the biggest in Japan.

Annual output is expected to equal the power consumed by about 5,000 households in one year.
