Two people have died in Pakistan after protests in the city of Kasur.

Two people have died and several more have been injured in Pakistan after Police fired live rounds at a group of protestors.

Police say the protests turned violent, and they had no choice but to fire to disperse the crowds.

People have been protesting after the rape and murder of a young girl in the city of Kasur.

Seven year old Zaniab Ansari was found in a rubbish dump. She had been strangled.

The protestors say the police are not taking the case seriously. - this is the twelth case of a young girl being abducted and killed in the area within a year.

Police say they've arrested several people in connection with the attack.
