Mount Sinabung has been active since 2013
A videographer has captured the eruption of a volcano in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province.
The time-lapse video, shot by Matt Kawa, shows Mount Sinabung spewing ash as high as 2.5 km into the sky.
Mount Sinabung has been active since 2013 and killed 10 people earlier this year during its eruption.
The footage was shot on Wednesday (September 27), when all eyes were turned to the potential eruption of Bali’s Mount Agung.
Bali’s Mount Agung still hasn’t erupted but has begun spewing smoke and causing tremors in the surrounding area, leading to the evacuation of more than 130,000 people.
Mount Agung last erupted in 1963 killing more than 1,000 people.
