A suicide bomber has killed at least three people near to Kabul’s main cricket ground while a major tournament was underway.
Hundreds of spectators witnessed the attack at the International Cricket Stadium where a Shpageeza T20 Cricket League match was underway.
Mohammad Hassan saw what happened: “We were on our way to cricket stadium to watch the game, approximately about 50 metres to the entrance of the stadium an explosion happened, there was blood and chaos everywhere,” he said.
At least seven people were wounded as the attacker targeted security forces. Two of the dead were police officers and the third was a civilian.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
