Russian president sparks mystery with sprig of foliage

Vladimir Putin’s bare-chested fishing expedition once more projected the athletic president onto the world’s screens last weekend.

But even when the Russian president put his shirt back on, he still managed to generate attention. Accompanying his hunting fatigues, Putin could be seen in official media footage prominently sporting a sprig of foilage in his top pocket.

According to RIA Novosti, the plant in question was a blueberry or huckleberry. But the mystery about behind its presence remains.

Initial theories that it could be a mosquito repellent have been debunked with few suggestions of a more plausible explanation.
